Title: Business Systems Analyst
Duration: 6+ Months
Location: PA or Frisco, TX
Rate: $40/hr on C2C
Position responsibilities include:
Gathering business requirements related to application design from operations staff at all levels.
Analysis of identified business requirements to conceptualize application designs that satisfy the needs of all applicable stakeholders.
Write detailed system design requirements, including Feature Documentation, Database Models, User Interface and Screen Designs, Use Case Scenarios, and Workflow Diagrams, as needed.
Understanding of industry standards with regard to health plan operations and consumer-directed business models, as well as keeping abreast of trends and expected changes in the health insurance industry.
Work with assigned programmers to ensure smooth transition of business requirements to the development process.
Work with QA, Technical Writers, and Implementers to answer application functionality questions, as needed.
Performing gap analyses of existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, as needed.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of expert business knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Health Insurance or TPA/ISO Business Operations
Claims Administration Systems, including Automated Adjudication Workflow Processes
Consumer-Directed Health Plan (CDHP) Business Models
Administration of Consumer Accounts (FSA, HRA, HSA, and custom accounts)
Healthcare Financing or Banking Industry Standards
Required Skills:
Previous experience in application design or business process improvement is highly desired.
Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications.
Ability to design innovative approaches to solving business problems.
Ability to work both independently and in small teams of assigned analysts in developing application design specifications.
Must be able to work within a matrixed team environment with accountabilities & interdependencies that are shared by more than one team within CAMS & with other UHG IT development teams.
Must be able to work remotely with CAMS development resources within the USA & India.
Highly desired skill is the ability to work in a cross-functional capacity as needs, particularly in the area of QA, being able to define test plans, create test conditions/cases, and execute test cases using TestDirector software.
