Description/Required Skills:
- Responsible for analysis, design, coding and testing of new applications or enhancements to existing applications using Java-based technologies, including Java, J2EE, JSP, XML, JDBC, and Servlets.
- Must be able to apply SDLC concept and have a proven track record of delivering solid, robust applications.
- Must have a solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming.
- Strong communication skills are required as position will interact with business owners.
- 6+ years of prior Java development experience required.
- The Sr. Level Java/J2EE Developers will have extensive experience with developing Java Web-based applications using BEA Web Logic Application server and
Oracle and the following skills:
- WebLogic 6/8/9.
- Java and J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, JDBC, JNDI).
- Web Services, XML, SOAP, REST.
- HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
- SQL, PLSQL, Oracle 8i/9i.
- Windows, UNIX, LINUX.
- Star Team and Eclipse.
The responsibilities of the consultants will be as follows:
- Work within the guidelines and direction of the IT Systems and Services technical team, and provide weekly updates regarding status of current and planned activities.
- Review requirements and design with customer, and other IT teams.
- Make code changes and enhancements to the current applications.
- Write up and perform unit testing on code changes.
- Create performance testing scripts.
- Provide documentation as required, including Design Specifications, according to the project management process (PEP) used by Client.
- Provide current day support to existing applications.
- Attend project meetings and report statuses.
- This activity will require the consultant to be on-location in Lyndhurst, NJ to access the appropriate software and hardware resources hosting these applications.
Must have ? Java, J2EE, web logic 9, Oracle, UNIX- Linux and StarTeam experience
